Cheshire East Council

The Cheshire East Borough council was established in April 2009 as part of the structural changes to local government in England, by virtue of an order under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. It is an amalgamation of the former boroughs of Macclesfield, Congleton, Crewe and Nantwich and includes the functions of the former Cheshire County Council.

At the time that Unified were involved, we were dealing with Crewe and Nantwich but this became a larger project as the unitary authority was formed and a new website, based on a new CMS (Immediacy) was required.
