What are Cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, Firefox, Chrome).  Most websites you visit will use cookies in order to improve your user experience by enabling that website to remember users in order to store preferences, help users use the website more efficiently and to gather website analytics.  If a website doesn't use cookies it thinks you are a new user each time you visit the website and users may be asked to log in and reset their preferences every time they visit.

How we use Cookies

Cookies ensure we are able to continually improve our website to make it as easy as possible for you to use our site. We utilise "first party cookies" (originating from us) to simply track your visits between sessions and deliver a more personalised experience. We also utilise "third party cookies" (not originating from us) to provide "analytic" information.

Essential and Non-Essential Cookies

In order to access "authenticated" areas of the website (e.g. applying for a vacancy) it is essential that cookies are enabled and allowed. Other (non-essential) cookies are also used to store individual preferences (e.g. font sizes).

It is for these reasons that a "cookie free" version of this website is not available.

Google Analytics

In order to provide additional analytical information regarding visitors to our site, we use Google Analytics.  For information regarding the ability to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking, please visit the Google Analytics Opt-out page for details of available browser plug-ins.

Cookie Free Website - Not Available

Unfortunately we are unable to provide a "cookie free" version of the website, as cookies are essential for accessing "authenticated" areas of the website (e.g. applying for a vacancy).  If you do not wish to receive any cookies from this website, then regettably the only option available to you is to not visit this website.

Nominet and Domain names

Where Unified Digital Solutions Limited manages a domain name on behalf of clients, this is subject to the Nominet Terms and Conditions of Domain Name Registration.

By using our domain name management services, by default you accept the Nominet Terms and Conditions. Our charges for domain name management services, including transfer of domain names, how we deal with expired domain names and those due to expire and how you can renew your domain name are laid out in the hosting and domain name agreement.

We only register domain names ending in .co.uk and .uk. The charge for registering domain names is currently £10.99 including VAT.

We will contact you via email at least 30 days before the domain name you have registered with us expires and offer to renew the domain name registration for a fixed fee, which is currently £5.99 including VAT.

If you wish to transfer your registration to another registrar, you must give us 14 days notice in writing either by email or by post. We will handle the transfer to your nominated registrar free of charge and aim to make the transfer within 5 working days.

Abuse emails

If you believe that you are suffering from abuse emails (phishing scams, spam emails, etc) as a result of the services that Unified Digital Solutions Limited provide then please contact support@unified.co.uk with full details of the emails you have received and why you believe they are connected with a service we provide.

Complaints about any aspect of our service should in the first instance be addressed via email to support@unified.co.uk. If you are unhappy about the manner in which your complaint has been addressed, please contact the Head of Professional Services by phone on 01753 775050.

If your complaint cannot be resolved after discussion with our Head of Professional Services, then it will be escalated to our Managing Director. We aim to resolve any complaints or issues within 5 working days. If appropriate, we will involve a third party mediator if your complaint cannot be resolved through our own internal escalation procedure.

We aim to respond to any communication via our website or via email within one working day. If you need a faster response, then please contact us during our office hours - Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm (excluding public holidays) on the number at the bottom of the page.
